Foundation for Academic Endeavors Summer Academy

 

The FAE Summer Academy grew out of a partnership of Lutheran and Episcopal churches across Western Washington including Christ Church Anacortes. An idea sparked by two young women at La Iglesia Epsicoapl de la Resurrección in Mount Vernon, began as a day camp program in the church and grew into a 5 week STEM and literacy program that has served over 1,000 low-income preschool through 9th grade students on the campus of Skagit Valley College.

 

Since 2012, Christ Church has offered volunteer teachers, cooks, classroom and field trip assistants, board members and financial support to help the mission of FAE.
